The Skate-Parts.Com Home Page

As some of you may know, back in January/February last year, I began working towards starting up a new business. It took a lot longer than I had been hoping to get suppliers on board, but in February this year, the website has finally gone live!
You can now buy skateboards online at [...]

If Clients Treated Everyone As Freelancers

June 3, 2009Matt No Comments »

Just came across this video on The Renegade Writer, and had to share it with you!

On a side note, the vast majority of clients (my clients anyway), aren’t like this, but the sad truth is that there are still so many clients that are!

From Your Boss

February 12, 2009Matt No Comments »

It’s great to see a boss pointing these things out to the employees. Sure, a cash handout is great, but ongoing work is much better.
Have a read of the letter that this employer sent to his employees here.
As a small business owner, I agree with this email entirely, even though I only employ one person [...]

Where Have I Been?

October 14, 2008Matt 1 Comment »

It’s been a while, and how I’ve missed you my poor, neglected blog and readers, it’s been so empty without you.
So what have I actually been doing for the past month? Yep, it’s been a month already! Or it would have been if I had waited two more days to write this, but I’m not [...]

The New TerraMedia Design

July 19, 2008Matt 2 Comments »

Over at TerraMedia I’ve been quite busy over the past few weeks working on not only a new design for TerraMedia, but a completely new website!
It is now using Drupal instead of Joomla and the theme is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict along with being completely cross browser compatible. Developing it for Firefox, Safari, Opera and [...]

Happenings

May 23, 2008Matt 2 Comments »

It’s been a while since I’ve written anything for this blog, the past couple of weeks have been absolutely hectic.
So what have I been up to?

Fixed a problematic client website that had a lot more problems than expected.
20 hours worth of maintenance on another client website.
Created the art for my business cards and setup the [...]

TerraMedia Logo Design Idea

March 11, 2008Matt No Comments »

I have been working on a few new things for TerraMedia, including a new website design and a new logo.
The new website is nearing completion, and one of the last things I have to sort out before it goes live is the new logo.
This is what I am currently looking at using for the logo, [...]

The Brand New Hummer

February 21, 2008Matt No Comments »

My boss got her new car yesterday, she even took the day off work, just to go get it and then spend the day playing in it.
It’s not just any new car though, it is a brand new Hummer, you know the one, from the big advertising billboards around that have the front grill shown [...]

Developments and Widgitization

January 31, 2008Matt No Comments »

No, I have not been procrastinating about any of my personal design projects as mentioned earlier. Okay, I have a little bit. Anyway, the point is, I have been doing things.
You probably wouldn’t have noticed this yet, but the copy on TerraMedia, particularly on the Home and Learn More pages has been updated. As the [...]
