Touchpad Computer Remote Control Via iPhone
This has got to be one of the coolest aps I have seen for the iPhone. Yes, the iPhone is cool and all that jazz, but like the iPod’s before it, I’ve never been a huge fan of it.
This, is an excellent idea though Touchpad for the iPhone, turning the touch screen on the iPhone into a remote control touchpad for a computer that works the same way a touchpad on a laptop would. It just requires a VNC server to be installed on the computer and the iPhone will connect to it using vnsea. It does however require Installer.app since the official SDK hasn’t been released yet, but hey, you get that.
It basically lets you do anything on your computer that you could do with a normal mouse, yes, it would make a very expensive remote control, but of course, you get much more than that don’t you?
The video does show it on Windows, but I gather from the instructions that it works on Linux and Mac as well as it should only require a VNC server, which is available for both.
