Back when I was a kid I used to have a plastic yellow skateboard with orange wheels, a Penny skateboard from the 70’s.
They have a plastic deck instead of the usual wooden one in a mini-cruiser shape with a rear kick. In total its only 22.5″ long.
The trucks are miniature as well at 3.125″ wide. The wheels are regular size Tunnel wheels, and with the standard bearings they just keep spinning!
Skate-Parts.Com has the Penny completes in stock in every colour at the moment, which includes Blue, Yellow, Black, Red, Bone and Green, and they look great! They are going for $149 at the moment but there are a number of $129 specials planned between now and Christmas. Check out the details here.
I’ve gotten to have a play on one and they are heaps of fun for such small little boards, they are great for cruising on and to take with you given how small they are!
