Basically the way it works is that, when enabled, after a file is updated on one computer, it syncs with the Dropbox servers. Then, when other computers that are synchronizing the same files go to download the changes or new file, they [...]

My parents have been having an issue with the internet at their place for a while now. I’ve just had a chance to look at it and it is quite suspicious.
Randomly when a Google search was performed, when you clicked the links you would be redirected to sites that you were not expecting, primarily parked [...]

I noticed an article on IT News Australia this morning about talk of the “Australia Card” identification card/system coming up again.
This got me to thinking a bit today, and also trends I’ve noticed previously and things that people have pointed out to me and that sort of thing. Who really is watching?

I posted yesterday regarding a problem I was having with Internet Explorer 7 rendering some JavaScript controlled pop ups incorrectly in one of my current projects.

I received a completely unexpected present from a good friend of mine a couple of months ago, a new Palm Treo 750 running Windows Mobile 6.
I am quite fond of the design of the Palm Treo’s as they manage to incorporate an (almost) full keyboard along with a reasonable sized screen (240px * 240px) without [...]

I got a chip in my windscreen driving down to Lismore on Friday, and unfortunately, it started to crack so I needed to get it fixed before it got too bad and the whole windscreen needed replacing.
So Monday, I gave Windscreen’s O’Brien (O’Brien Glass) a call before I headed back up to Brisbane.
I called the [...]

Australian from yesterday covering the pitfalls and problems with ISP level filtering and various forms of filtering. It is probably the most accurate and reasonably presented article I’ve seen from a newspaper yet, even though the quotes are predominately from IIA spokesman Peter Coroneo’s rather than someone from the current government.
“…he warned it could never [...]
