I enjoy reading Luke, in many places he has bits of information that help explain things from the other gospels.
In Luke 12 for example, there is one section that is paralleled in both Matthew and Mark (though more closely in Matthew), and there is one verse in Luke that is not in the other gospels. [...]

In Luke 9, there is an interesting tidbit that’s not in any of the other gospels.
A section in verse 31 in particular (NIV):
30Two men, Moses and Elijah, 31appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus. They spoke about his departure, which he was about to bring to fulfillment at Jerusalem.

When we here about Jesus spending 40 days in the desert where he was tempted by the devil, we often assume that the 3 temptations we here about in Luke 4 and Matthew 4 are the temptations that he was faced with. They are all we see or hear about when people share this section [...]

The concept of the rapture is an interesting one. It is Biblically based, but the popularised concept in the “Left Behind” series, isn’t really Biblically correct at all. If anything, it’s backwards.
